Road show
The culminating point for portfolio companies of the Ignition Labs accelerator program is an investor road show that includes a mixture of investor focused Australian and International promotional and networking events.
Mentors
Ignition Labs draws its experience from a pool of cohort specific mentors. The 2013 mentors are a mix of serial entrepreneurs and professionals with skills and experience in the health and medical technology sector or a significant health technology industry and investor network.
Program
The accelerator program arms portfolio founders with the business tools and processes necessary to validate their idea and refine their technology in a condensed time frame.
Cash
Successful applicants will initially receive a $25,000 investment. This is ideal for early stage businesses who need enough to kick-off the start-up journey.

Key dates
Applications close on the 28th July at midnight. Notices will be release to a short list in August. Selection and offers will be made following an interview process and the program will start in September. The Australian and US/EU roadshows will be conducted from November 2013 through till March 2014.
Selection
The selection process involves a full mentor review of applications followed by a workshop session for shortlisted businesses. A limited number of teams invited for interviews. Offers will be made immediately after.
Start
The 3+3 month full-time program will start Q4 2013, when the teams will join Ignition Labs, Startmate and Sydney Uni Incubate alumni along with 50 deep technology businesses inside the ATP Innovations incubator.
Accelerator
Ignition Labs is an accelerator for early stage niche technologies. The Ignition Labs 2013 cohort will have a health and medical technology focus. Selected businesses enter an intensive development program that converts early stage ideas into fundable businesses over 3 to 6 months. This is achieved through leverage of a structured development and validation program, experienced mentors, cash investment and an international investor roadshow.

Eligibility
The Ignition Labs Medtech accelerator will consider any product, including software, intended for the diagnosis, prevention, monitoring or treatment of a disease, injury or physiological process. The accelerator will focus on a subset of technologies within the medical technology sector that fit under the headings of “Instrumentation, Class 1 and 2 Devices, Diagnostics, Connected Devices or Software”. These products are likely to be low-cost hardware or software enabled products and services like those developed by Resmed, Fitbits and StethoCloud, rather than infrastructure intensive implantable devices or technologies requiring rigorous in-vivo trials like a Ventracor or Cochlear device.
